10 mysterious sea creatures from depth of ocean

Gulper Eel: Also known as the Pelican Eel, this deep-sea creature has a large mouth and expandable stomach, allowing it to swallow prey much larger than itself.

Barreleye Fish: This fish is known for its transparent head filled with a fluid, and its barrel-shaped eyes that can rotate within the transparent dome, allowing it to look in different directions.

Blobfish: This deep-sea fish is known for its gelatinous, blob-like appearance. While it looks strange out of water, its unique appearance is due to its adaptation to the high-pressure environment of the deep sea.

Viperfish: This deep-sea predator has long, needle-like teeth and a photophore on its dorsal fin, which it uses to attract prey in the dark depths of the ocean.

Anglerfish: Anglerfish are known for their bioluminescent lure, which hangs in front of their mouths to attract prey. The female anglerfish is much larger than the male and often fuses with it, using the male as a permanent sperm donor.

Giant Isopod: Resembling oversized underwater pill bugs, giant isopods are crustaceans that can grow up to 16 inches in length. They are scavengers, feeding on dead whales and other organic material that falls to the ocean floor.

Dumbo Octopus: Named after the Disney character Dumbo, these octopuses have ear-like fins that resemble elephant ears. They live at extreme depths and are some of the rarest octopus species.

Deep-Sea Dragonfish: This fish has long, fang-like teeth and a bioluminescent chin barbel that it uses to attract prey in the darkness of the deep sea.

Hatchetfish: These small, deep-sea fish have flattened bodies and bioluminescent organs along their undersides, which help camouflage them from predators below.
