Mango lovers always want to explore and enjoy the different varieties of the king of fruit.

This juicy fruit, rightly called the 'king' has some 1500 varieties growing in India. Each variety has a distinct taste, shape and colour.

While common mango varieties in India are affordable, here are the five most expensive varieties of mangoes in the world

According to TOI, Miyazaki mangoes, which can cost up to Rs 3 lakh per kg, are considered the most expensive variety of mangoes in the world

Sindhri mangoes are grown in Pakistan’s Sindh region. According to moneycontrol, this variety of mango can cost up to Rs 3,000 per piece.

 Manila mango, also known as Carabao mango or Philippine mango. According to Asianetnews, each piece of Manila mango can cost up to Rs 2,000.

Alphonso are one of the most exported mango varieties from India, and cost between Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 per dozen, according to TOI.
