Gold is often considered as the most expensive metal on Earth. But it is not true.
Rhodium: It is the most expensive metal on Earth, mostly found in South Africa. It is around Rs 15500 per gm.
Gold: It is most sought-after metal. China, Russia and Australia are the top gold producers. Rs 7200 per gm.
Platinum: It is scarcer than gold and shares similar applications. Rs 2510 per gm.
Palladium: It is mostly used for catalytic converters. Rs 2360 per gm.
Ruthenium: It is utilised for chip resistors and electrical contacts in electronics industry. Rs 2100 per gm.
Iridium: It is one of the rarest metals on Earth. Only 3 tonnes of iridium is produced annually. Rs 500 per gm.
