6 animals whose ears are hidden

Shivam Verma

Sea turtles have internal ears, hidden beneath their shells. They primarily rely on vibrations in the water to navigate and locate prey.

Penguins have small ears located deep beneath their feathers, which help them navigate underwater while hunting for fish.

Crocodiles have ear slits on the sides of their heads, but they are not prominent and can be easily missed.

Platypus: Platypuses have small ear openings located behind their eyes, which are often concealed by their fur. They use their sensitive hearing to detect prey underwater.

Frogs have ears, but they are not visible externally. Instead, their eardrums are located just behind their eyes, covered by skin.

Snakes lack external ear openings, but they can still detect vibrations through their jawbones, allowing them to "hear" movements around them.
