The way stars are born, it plays an important role in shaping its life span. Here are 6 stunning images of star formation.

The Cepheus B, a molecular cloud located in our Milky Galaxy about 2,400 light years from the Earth, provides an excellent model to determine how stars are formed.

This image is captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope which shows a relatively close star-forming region known as IRAS 16562-3959.

NASA captured the image of 'Mystic Mountain'  showcasing that dust plays important role in star formation.

Stars form in large clouds of gas and dust called nebulae that scatter the visible wavelengths of light our eyes can see.

NASA's Hubble Telescope captured energetic jets of glowing gas from young stars in unprecedented detail.

The Rosette nebula, a star-forming region located about 5,000 light-years from Earth, is home to young star clusters.
