The Earth and Moon were imaged by Mariner 10 from 2.6 million km while completing the first ever Earth-Moon encounter.

The image was captured on the eve of Christmas by a crew of Apollo 8 from lunar orbit

The rarely seen "dark side" is visible as the moon moves infront of the suntil side of the earth.

The Messenger robotic spacecraft took this picture of earth and the moon as small circles of a reflected light from a distance equal to the view from Mercury.

This image of earth is captured at night. Scientists are using images of Earth’s dark side to gain insight on human activity and poorly understood natural events.

The stunning image of earth, known as the "Blue Marble" was taken by the last crew of Apollo mission.

This image was clicked by ATS-1, when it was 22,300 miles away from the earth and more than 270,000 miles away from the moon.
