8 amazing images of space shared by NASA

N44 is a complex nebula located in the Large Magellanic Cloud about 170,000 light-years from Earth. The nebula is filled with glowing hydrogen gas, dark lanes of dust, and countless stars of different ages. 

Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft on NASA’s Crew Flight Test approaches the International Space Station while orbiting 263 miles above Quebec, Canada.

A clumpy dome of blueish-gray clouds rises about a third of the way from the bottom. Above it, streaky, translucent red wisps brush upward to about halfway up the image.
