Located in the constellation of Hercules, about 230 million light-years away, NGC 6052 is a pair of colliding galaxies.

A spectacular head-on collision between two galaxies fueled the unusual triangular-shaped star-birthing frenzy

The two interacting galaxies making up the pair known as Arp-Madore 608-333 seem to float side by side in this image.

This interacting pair of galaxies is included in Arp’s catalog of peculiar galaxies as number 148.

The pair of merging galaxies known as IC 1623 photographed by the James Webb Space Telescope.

The earlier image of the merging galactic pair taken by the Hubble Space Telescope reveals a much duller formation.

The three galaxies that look like they're cuddling off to the right will eventually merge with one another.
