Noida International Airport, soon to be inaugurated, will serve the National Capital Region (NCR).

It will provide an alternative to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

The entire project is estimated to cost around Rs 30,000 crore.

Planned to be India's and Asia's largest airport, it is a significant infrastructure project.

The proposal to build the airport in Jewar was first made in 2001 by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

It will be the third airport in Delhi NCR, after Indira Gandhi International Airport and Ghaziabad's Hindon Airport.

Officials stated that the first phase of the airport will cost Rs 4,588 crore.

The airport will span 5,000 hectares, with 1,334 hectares already acquired, and will eventually feature six to eight runways, the most in India. It is located 130 km from Agra and about 72 km from Delhi.
