Hathras Stampede: Who is ‘Bhole Baba’?

In shocking turn of events, a stampede at a religious gathering in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district led to the deaths of over 80 people and left many others injured.

The tragic incident occurred during a satsang conducted by self-proclaimed godman Narayan Sakaar Hari also known as ‘Bhole Baba’ or ‘Sakaar Vishwa Hari’.

Bhole Baba hails from the Bahadur village under the Patiali tehsil in Etah district. As per reports, he claims to be a former employee of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

After serving the government for many years, he chose the path of spirituality and began sharing religious sermons.

Today, he has thousands of followers across India, significantly in western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi.

Bhole Baba prefers to stays away from social media platforms and does not have any official account.

According to an India Today report, Bhole Baba programs organised every Tuesday in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh sees thousand of people.
