Indian states where women consume maximun amount of alcohol

In Arunachal Pradesh, 26% of women between the ages of 15 and 49 drink alcohol, where offering rice beer, known as "apong," to guests is a cultural tradition.

In Sikkim, 16.2% of women consume alcohol, ranking it second in the country.

In Assam, 7.3% of women consume alcohol, especially within tribal communities with a longstanding tradition of brewing and drinking.

In Telangana, 6.7% of women drink alcohol, with higher consumption among rural women compared to those in urban areas.

In Jharkhand, 6.1% of women, largely from marginalized tribal communities, consume alcohol.

In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 5% of women drink alcoholic beverages.

In Chhattisgarh, approximately 5% of women consume alcohol, placing the state seventh on the list.
