Diwali, also called Deepavali, is the Hindu festival of lights.  It symbolises the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. This year India celebrated Diwali on October 31.

Like every year, this year also India's richest businessman Gautam Adani and his company the Adani Group celebrated Diwali by sharing the spirit of the festival through gifts, sweets, and festive decor.

They also recognise that Diwali is a time to come home, renew bonds, and cherish moments with loved ones.

The Adani Group introduced Adani's Diwali safety campaign which strategically engages Mumbai's school children as key participants to promote safety awareness across communities.

“The joint effort between Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation illustrates successful community engagement,” an official from Adani Electricity said.

Adani Electricity and the Adani Foundation sourced 1.5 lakh diyas from underprivileged women, supporting their livelihoods and providing valuable business opportunities.

These diyas were distributed to 20,000 BMC school students across 64 schools, with additional sets given to each student to share within their neighbourhoods, allowing the Adani group to extend their safety message to over 80,000 families.
