Jaw-dropping images of space shared by NASA

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Chandra X-ray Observatory being launched into space, NASA shared spectacular new images captured by the telescope.

NGC 6872: NGC 6872 is a large spiral galaxy with two elongated arms.

NGC 1365: The sprawling black hole glows white at the centre of the image.

MSH 15-52: A bright white spot in the wrist is the pulsar itself.

Jupiter: In this composite image of Jupiter, the fifth planet from the sun contrasts against the blackness of space.

M16 (Eagle Nebula): This composite image showcases star formation known as the Pillars of Creation.

The misty glow, colourful stars, and lifelike grey dust formations create a breathtaking scene to capture.
