Automatic cars are generally more expensive than manual cars. The automatic transmission eliminates the need for manual gear shifting, making driving a more comfortable experience.

Here are the five most affordable automatic cars in India.

The Renault Kwid RXL(O) 1.0L AMT is a petrol variant of the Renault Kwid that costs Rs 5.45 lakh and has an automatic transmission. It is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder that develops 67 bhp and 91 Nm of peak torque and boasts fuel economy of 22.3 kmpl.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is powered by a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder engine, which produecs a 66 bhp and 89 Nm of torque. Paired with a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) system, it provides a notable fuel mileage of 24.39 kmpl. Price starts at Rs 5.56 lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is powered by a 1.0-litre engine which develops 66 bhp and 89 Nm of torque. This comes along with a 5-speed AMT transmission. It manages offers a mileage of 25.3 kmpl. The  S-Presso can cost around Rs 5.71 lakh.
