Most dangerous marine animals

Blue-ringed octopus: Until respiratory depression and paralysis set in, victims might not even be aware that they have been envenomated. The bites are typically tiny and painless.

Lionfish: Beautiful and dangerous underwater predators that can intimidate divers and snorkelers.

Stonefish: They can cause necrosis, rapid swelling of the limbs, and even death with their extremely painful stings.

The great white shark: It is one of the most well-known and dangerous marine animals. It usually haunts areas where people live, such as tropical coasts.

Beaked sea snake: It attacks through tiny fangs to inject its venom, which has the ability to paralyse organs, including the diaphragm.

Box jellyfish: Those who come into contact with them risk having their skin cells, heart, and nervous system attacked by their toxic venom.

Pufferfish: Distinguished for their lethal tetrodotoxin (TTX) capable of paralysing and killing humans.

Cone snails: Although they rarely sting, their venom is strong enough to knock victims out cold and even kill them.
