MS Dhoni officially announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020.

His primary income source post-retirement is the Indian Premier League. He receives massive income for representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the cash-rich league.

Moreover, MS Dhoni is amongst the highest-paid sportsmen in the world. The former India captain has tied up with over 50 brands, which include, Reebok, Pepsi, and Go Daddy. According to an india.com report, he charges around Rs 5-10 crore per deal.

Dhoni is also known for investing in multiple startups. He has invested in a range of businesses, including Garuda Aerospace, Tagda Raho, Cars24, and Khatabook, and their stock values have raised to Rs 500 crore.

The 2011 World Cup-winning captain earns massive income from his gym chain called Sportsfit.

He owns a hotel called Mahi Residency in his hometown Ranchi, and has a school named after him called MS Dhoni Global School in Bengaluru.

A biopic is also made on Dhoni’s life called ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'. As per reports, MS Dhoni was paid a massive sum of Rs 45 crore for the movie-making rights to his life.

Dhoni is a co-owner of Chennai-based football club Chennaiyin FC, a franchise of the Indian Super League. He also co-owns Ranchi-based hockey club Ranchi Rays, a franchise of the Hockey India League.
