Mughal places are known for their intricate architecture and beautiful gardens accompanied with big fountains and ponds.

However, despite being all the luxury, Mughal kings never preferred to live on the ground floor of their places. Today we will tell you why they chose to do so.

Most Mughal kings preferred to live on th e upper floor of their place because living on higher floors provided better security.

Higher floors offered greater privacy, keeping the royal family away from the public eye and reducing the chance of unwanted visitors.

Residing on higher levels symbolised the status and power of the Mughal kings, reinforcing their superiority over others.

The ground floor could be prone to humidity and pests, while upper floors were generally more comfortable and better ventilated.

Many Mughal palaces were built near rivers or in low-lying areas, making upper floors safer during floods.

The Mughal architecture often emphasised grandeur and beauty, and living on upper floors allowed the kings to enjoy spectacular views and the intricate designs of their palaces.
