Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail to launch these global brands in India

Here are six global brands that Reliance Retail is set to introduce in the Indian marketplace by 2024-25.

Reliance Retail, at the moment, is exploring avenues to bring Old Navy, a renowned brand that belongs to US Fashion conglomerate, Gap Inc., to the Indian marketplace.

Ever since 2020, Reliance has been in talks with the Italian luxury giant, Giorgio Armani, over bringing the Michelin-starred Armani/Caffè to India. They plan to open the café at the Jio World Plaza, owned by Reliance. An IndiaRetailing report from November 2022 noted that the mall has set aside roughly 1,000 sq. ft. for this upscale café's launch.

Reliance Retail, recently signed a long-term licensing agreement with UK's leading online fashion retailer ASOS. This strategic move aims to bring the renowned brand to India.

Three years post the Chinese app, Shein was banned in India, Reliance Retail is now gearing up to reintroduce thisfashion giant into the Indian market via a fresh collaboration. The Government of India has already nodded its approval for the alliance between Reliance Retail and Shein.

EL&N Café, a boutique café group hailing from UK, has forged a franchising deal with Reliance Brands to establish outlets in the India marketplace, signalling EL&N Café’s expansion into its eighth market globally.

Reliance Brands has announced plans to introduce two luxury fashion brands Sandro and Maje to the Indian marketplace in November 2023. They are set to commence operations with their first flagship stores in the country by 2024.
