Ratan Tata used to start his day with this spicy dish

Ratan Tata, a revered industrialist and philanthropist, passed away at the age of 86 on October 9, 2024. His life was no less than an inspiration. 

Beyond his business acumen, his disciplined lifestyle, particularly his simple yet effective diet was also inspirational. 

 He was fond of home-cooked food, especially Parsi food, and adored the traditional dishes which his sister used to make. 

Ratan Tata preferred home-cooked meals over lavish, restaurant-prepared dishes. He loved Parsi food like Doppas, Patra and Sali Boti prepared by his sister.

Renowned Parsi chef Parvez Patel who was also Ratan Tata's 's favourite, revealed that among his favourites were khatta-meetha masoor ki dal, a tangy and sweet lentil dish cooked with garlic.

Another traditional Paris dish which Ratan Tata use to eat was Akuri. It looks similar to scrambled eggs and he loved having it for breakfast.

Ratan Tata used to eat non-veg with great fondness. He loved eating Mutton Pulao among other non-veg dishesh.

Ratan Tata is also said to have loved the iconic nut-rich baked custard.
