Seven Indian states with highest liquor consumption among women 

According to estimates, around 13% of the Indian population consume alcohol, of which, a remarkable percentage is that of females.

The central government conducted the National Family and Health Survey (NFHS) in 2019 and 2021. Here are some Indian states with highest alcohol consumption among women. 

1. Arunachal Pradesh: Arunachal Pradesh is the state with highest number of women alcohol consumers, the percentage of which being 24.2. 

2. Sikkim: Around 16.2% of women consume alcohol in Sikkim. 

3. Assam: Around 7.3% of the total alcohol consumers are women. 

4. Telangana: 6.7% of women consume alcohol in Telangana. 

5. Jharkhand: In Jharkhand, around 6.1% of women consume alcohol. 

6. Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Around 5% of women contribute to the total percentage of alcohol consumers. 

7. Chhattisgarh: 4.9% of women consume alcohol in Chhattisgarh.
