Spectacular images of galaxies shared by NASA Hubble Space telescope

Approximately 275 million light-years away from Earth, the bright spiral galaxy known as MCG-01-24-014 is visible in this Hubble Space Telescope image.

The spiral galaxy IC 5332, located in the constellation Sculptor and approximately 30 million light-years away, is visible in this dazzling Hubble Space Telescope image. It is nearly face-on to Earth.

This image of the peaceful spiral galaxy UGC 12295 was taken with the NASA Hubble Space Telescope.

This photograph, taken with the NASA Hubble Space Telescope, shows the colourful star-forming disc of the jellyfish galaxy JO206 encircled by a light-colored, bright dust cloud.

Among the many jellyfish galaxies Hubble has been examining over the last two years is this one, which is located in the constellation Coma Berenices and is more than 900 million light-years away.

The magnificent galaxy is nearly face-on in this picture, its lazy spiral arms stretching across it. It is located in the constellation Pisces, some 260 million light-years from Earth.

These filaments orbit the supermassive black hole in the galaxy, luring them inward and eventually into its path before being swallowed by it. They do this in an amazing spiral formation.
