Scientists discovered a 392-year-old Greenland shark, estimating it to be over 500 years old, contradicting earlier claims of 512 years old. The shark, found in the arctic, could be the oldest living vertebrate.

Researchers estimate the creature could have been born around 1505, can swim 7,200 feet deep, and weigh over a tonne.
