The Vande Bharat Express is a reserved, air-conditioned chair car service.
It connects cities that are less than 800 km apart or take less than 10 hours to travel.
It has 2 classes of accommodation with AC Executive Class being the premium class and the AC chair being the other.
Notably, the chair car coaches can seat 78 passengers per coach.
Recently, Southern Railways decided to run special Vande Bharat Express between Chennai and Nagercoil.
According to reports, it will operate four days a week between Chennai and Nagercoil. The service will reportedly begin on July 11.
