History repeated itself when the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton wore the Lover’s Knot tiara, which was previously worn by late Princess Diana.

On Tuesday, Middleton wore her late mother-in-law’s famous tiara while attending the state dinner at Buckingham Palace, reported The Hollywood Reporter. She also wore an icy blue Alexander McQueen gown.

Alongside the tiara and the gown, Middleton wore Queen Alexandra of Denmark’s wedding necklace and the royal family order.

The Duchess wore the tiara for the first time back in 2015, during a Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Tiara was said to be Princess Diana's favourite piece of jewelry. Notably, it was the fourth time in a row when Middleton wore the Tiara which features teardrop-shaped pearls and diamonds throughout its entirety.

The jewelry which is also known as the Cambridge Lover's Knot was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth II's grandmother, Queen Mary in 1914.

The Duchess who was accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, which was hosted by the Queen.

The day also marked the maiden official state visit for King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands to the United Kingdom.

Apart from the spectacular headpiece, what also made the news was the Royal Family Order. Duchess was pictured for the first time wearing the diamond-encrusted brooch. Though sources at the palace said that the Queen had awarded the Order to Duchess in 2017 itself. However, at that time, no pictures were released to media.

Meanwhile, half the world away, Duchess of Sussex kept it casual with Frida Kahlo-inspired floral dress.

A brief visit by Meghan to a market in Fiji’s Suva drew thousands of onlookers, with many of them waving flags, cheering and singing as she inspected stalls selling fruit, vegetables and handicrafts. There are reports that Meghan may be seen wearing a tiara as the Duke and the Duchess are expected to meet with Tonga's king and queen and to attend a reception and dinner with traditional Tongan entertainment.
