A Briton and his elderly mother jumped to their deaths off a cliff two days after the son was arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography, an inquest heard. Christopher Gosling, 58, and his mother Elizabeth, 81, drove from their Wales home to Beachy Head, a chalk headland, in East Sussex and leapt off a cliff, Daily Express reported Wednesday.
An inquest at Eastbourne Magistrates' Court heard that the National Health Service project manager son and his mother, a retired secretary, were "devoted to each other". Gosling's niece Josephine Carroll said: "For her, there was no life without Christopher or if he had been imprisoned there would be no life for her."
Their bodies were found March 21.
