A spy for a spy

Pakistan had expelled Indian diplomat Deepak Kaul claiming he has been caught red-handed with sensitive documents.

New Delhi: In another jolt to the stuttering peace process, India and Pakistan are back to tit-for-tat diplomacy.

This time around, Islamabad made the first move by charging Deepak Kaul, a mid-level Indian diplomat, of spying. Kaul has to leave Pakistan within 48 hours.

New Delhi reacted instantly and gave marching orders to Kaul’s counterpart in Delhi — Sayeed Mohamed Rafique Ahmed — who has been declared persona non grata and asked to leave by Monday.
