Pakistani Noha reciter Farhan Ali Waris has narrowly escaped an attack by armed militants in Karachi. This happened barely two hours after Pakistan's most famous qawwal Amjad Sabri of the famous Sabri borthers was shot dead by unknown assailants in Karachi.
According to media reports, Farhan Ali Waris was returning home when his car was attacked. He survived narrowly thanks to his prompt security guards, who foiled the attack. They retaliated firing back, and the terrorists fled away. The incident happened near the Teen Hatti area of Karachi.
One of the most popular Qawwali singer, Amjad Sabri was gunned down in Liaqutabad area, which has prompted outpour of outrage and condemnation from the musical world.
