US President Donald Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr is reportedly struggling with marital with his wife Vanessa, and sources close to the couple say they may headed for divorce.
The news, which was first broken by Page Six, a US-based magazine, said Trump Jr and Vanessa, who have five children, are not legally separated, but are leading ‘separate lives’.
Divorce proceedings have not yet been initiated, but friends say they expect the couple to file soon. However, no official statement has come out from the family or their representatives.
Trump Jr has been busy travelling, which has contributed to their problems. Vanessa is a devoted mother, but she is increasingly lonely and alone in the house with the children, said one of the sources.
However, a separate source close to the couple insisted that, while they were having problems, they were not yet at the point of divorce: “Donald Jr. and Vanessa have been dealing with some issues, but they are not yet at the stage of filing for divorce. They are trying to deal with this privately.
But the source added, “While they are not legally separated, I cannot deny there are issues, there are a lot of intricate things that go on in a marriage. Don and Vanessa are focused on their family, they are trying to do this quietly and privately, and when they have something to say on the record, they will do so. This has nothing to do with politics; this is a personal matter between two people.”
Recently, Trump Jr was in India where he praised the people and Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking to India Inc at an event in New Delhi, Trump Jr said, “The spirit of Indian people is impressive. Even the impoverished have a smile on their face. "Never seen it anywhere among developing countries, but the media says I like poor people. I know how vicious Indian media can be, but they have treated me fairly.”
