The deadly bushfires in Australia have so far destroyed more than 1,200 homes and have killed thousands of animals across New South Wales and Victoria. 

A state of emergency has been declared and local authorities have been allowed to carry out forced evacuations, road closures and everything that can be done to keep residents and property safe.

High temperatures and strong winds are just making situations worse, leading to "widespread extreme fire danger".

From animals to humans, many have lost their homes and loved ones.

Meanwhile, Australian PM Scott Morrison postponed his visit to India among the ongoing bushfire crisis. PM Scott Morrison rescheduled his visit to India and Japan. He was slated to pay a visit to India from Jan 14 to Jan 16. 

“We deeply appreciate the arrangements that India and Japan have made to date and looking forward to rescheduling the visit,” said Australian PM Office in a statement. Fire wreaked havoc in parts of Australia for months and unlikely to stop anytime soon.
