The leader of Bahrain's main Shi'ite opposition bloc said the storming of a central Manama square where protesters had camped out overnight was "real terrorism."
"Whoever took the decision to attack the protest was aiming to kill," Abdul Jalil Khalil, a parliamentarian with the Wefaq bloc told Reuters on Thursday.
"This is real terrorism," he said.
At least two people were killed when police fired teargas and rubber bullets when they cleared the square early on Thursday.
