BEIJING: Five people have been killed and two others were injured in a brawl at a shopping complex in a south-west Chinese province, police said on Monday.
Sunday night's brawl was the result of a dispute that a group of youths had with the manager of the arcade centre. The dispute latter escalated into a melee and the incident of killings took place, a spokesman of the Chongqing Police Bureau said.
More than 20 other people, some wielding knives and batons, joined in the dispute, which led to five deaths.
The identities of the dead have not yet been announced and the police are investigating the incident, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
Police ordered a public security inspection on Monday of all Internet bars, shopping centres in the city.
