Protesters take to streets outside Donald Trump campaign event in California; 20 arrested

Police officers tried to disperse the angry crowd that got violent.

On Thursday, hundreds of protesters took to the streets outside a Donald Trump campaign event in California, where police officers tried to disperse the angry crowd.

The crowd gathered outside the OC Fair & Event Centre where the US Republican presidential frontrunner was addressing his supporters. CNN reported that several fights broke out and one police car was damaged at the chaotic scene.

Outside the event, protesters delivered messages against Trump's rhetoric, while some yelled insults at the police. Officers from the Orange County Sheriff's Department and Costa Mesa Police Department worked effortlessly to disperse the crowd and ordered protesters out of the streets. Orange County Sheriff's Department tweeted 20 people have been arrested.
