Christine O'Donnell has signed a deal to tell the story of her 2010 run, which drew national tea party support and the backing of the former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

The book by the vanquished Republican Senate candidate from Delaware will "take the reader behind the scenes of her race for the Senate and embody O'Donnell's identification with America's frustrations and concerns with the current political climate," said publisher St. Martin's Press.

O'Donnell said the book will expand upon the ideas she's already detailed.

"The 2010 midterm elections were just the beginning - the first rumblings of a revolution that has not fully erupted. I plan on making my book one of the revolution's catalysts," the Politico website quoted her as saying.

The book is due out in August 2011, said the publisher.
