A 22-year-old Indian national, charged with the murder of two compatriots over a monetary dispute in Perth, was today produced in a court which remanded him in custody till his next appearance before it on May 5.
Jagdeep Singh, who allegedly killed two Indian brothers -- Navdeep Singh (20) and Kawaldeep Singh (19) -- on February 12, appeared before Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court, The Australian reported.
Jagdeep Singh was not related to either of the brothers, the report said, adding he was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to appear again in the same court on May 5.
Police claims that the victims died after a violent argument about money and living arrangements at a rented flat in Morley area.
A badly injured Navdeep Singh made his way to a St John Ambulance depot in in the early hours of February 12, but collapsed and later died in hospital.
The body of his brother, Kawaldeep Singh, was later found outside a flat in Crimea Street, also in Morley. All three -- the victims and the accused -- held overseas student visas.
