The Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria is reportedly turning Christian churches into torture chambers and dungeons, selling priceless artifacts from the Churches in black market to earn money.
IS militants are tearing off ancient relics and entire murals from the Churches and smuggling them through the routes earlier established for moving oil and weapons, reported Fox News.
Jay Sekulow, of the American Center for Law and Justice and the author of "Rise of ISIS: A Threat We Can't Ignore" said that the IS extremists have stated their aim as complete wipe out of Christianity.
He also said that the IS would do anything to raise fund for its terrorist organization.
The terror group has blown off several revered Christian sites and monuments. However, it is not yet clear what items have been stolen but the group has sought to destroy religious groups that do not embrace its violent interpretation of Islam.
