The Jamaat-ud-Dawah today organised rallies in several cities of the Punjab province to protest alleged atrocities by Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir and attacked the Pakistan government of being a "silent spectator".
In Punjab's capital Lahore, about 5,000 people holding banners and placards participated in the rally which began from the JuD's headquarters in the Chowburji area.
The marchers shouted slogans against the Indian government for "killing innocent Kashmiris".
Speaking on the occasion, Tehrik-e-Azadi Jammu Kashmir chairman Hafiz Saifullah Mansoor said the protesters would go to any extent to help Kashmiris and to "liberate their territory".
India would soon be "dismembered" due to the sacrifices of Kashmiris, he said.
"The blood of Pakistanis and Kashmiris is one and if the Pakistan government cannot do anything for Kashmir's freedom, then it should not create hurdles for the freedom of Kashmir," he said.
The United Nations and it Security Council had been exposed for not taking notice of the killing of Kashmiris by Indian security forces, Mansoor alleged.
Top JuD leader Amir Hamza claimed 800,000 Indian troops had "completely failed to suppress the freedom movement in Kashmir".
He said, "If India does not pull out its army from Kashmir, it will become its graveyard. The time has come that freedom cannot be denied to Kashmiris".
Hamza criticised the Pakistan government for playing the role of a "silent spectator" on the Kashmir issue.
"It is so because the Pakistani rulers want the blessings of their counterparts," he alleged.
