Prince William has pipped his father Prince Charles to be voted as the next king favoured by most Australians in a new poll.
Newspoll, commissioned by ITV News, found that 58% of the 1,203 people quizzed wanted to see the 27-year-old as their next monarch as compared to 30% in favour of Charles.
William was also said to have worked his charm on the women Down Under with 63% saying they would like to see him succeed the Queen, reports the Daily Express.
As many as 45% said the Queen should remain Australia's head of state while 43% in opposition.
