A 48-year-old man appeared in court on Friday charged with the murders of five prostitutes in the English coastal town of Ipswich, following a massive police inquiry into the deaths.

Former forklift truck driver Steven Wright was charged late on Thursday with the murders of Gemma Adams, 25, Tania Nicol, 19, Anneli Alderton, 24, Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29.
