At least five people were injured after a huge fire broke out at a residential tower in UAE's Sharjah on Tuesday night. So far, no casualties have been reported and the firefighters have managed to bring it under control.
According to Gulf News, the residential tower is named Abbco Tower and it has 49 floors, excluding parking.
Khaleej Times reported that seven people treated at the site for injuries, while five were admitted to hospital for treatment.
The publication further said that over 250 families were evacuated from the building, which consists of 36 residential flats and 20 levels of car parking.
The blaze erupted in a building next to Taj Bangalore restaurant, the report said.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and it is also unclear whether there are any Indians residing in the residential tower.
