ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf is likely to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh next month on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Cuba, a media report said on Thursday.

Musharraf will be in Havana as part of a foreign tour, expected to begin after September 10, which would also take him to Belgium and the US.

He will begin by visiting the European Union headquarters in the Belgian capital Brussels, where he would become the first Pakistani President to address the European Parliament, Pakistani TV channel Aaj reported.

The President, who would then go to Havana to attend the NAM summit, also plans to meet Singh on the sidelines of the event, the channel said.

From Havana he would have a brief stopover in Paris before proceeding to the US to attend the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled for the third week of September.

The channel said Musharraf has formally received an invitation to address the European Parliament, earmarked for September 12 or 13.

Musharraf will have the honour of being the first Pakistani president to address Europe's parliament, it said.
