NEW YORK: Steve Irwin, the Australian conservationist and television host who loved crocodiles and got killed by a stingray, is to have an action figure doll.

To pay tribute to Irwin, Wild Republic, the nature brand of K&M International, teamed up with Irwin's family and Australia Zoo to bring the new line of toys. The doll will be sold at $22 and will be unveiled at the International Toy Fair in Feb in New York.

People.com quoted Irwin's daughter as saying: "We all know that daddy had an important job. He was working to change the world so everyone would love wildlife like he did. Now it's our turn to help him."

Irwin died on September 4 at Cairns in Australia when a stingray pierced his heart.
