A scooter proficiency course, aiming to teach children to be cautious while riding the vehicle, has been launched for the first time in Britain.

Since an increasing number of pupils are opting to travel on scooters in the country, the course hopes to end fears over the safety of children.

The children will be taught how to avoid pedestrians and traffic. Also, they will be made aware of pavement etiquette, as part of the lessons.

Schools across Kensington and Chelsea will conduct the programme, reports the Telegraph.

Meanwhile, a similar course for cyclists is also being planned.
