US President Barack Obama will visit Brazil, Chile and El Salvador from March 19 to March 23, the White House said on Friday.
Trade, energy and security cooperation will lead the topics that Obama will discuss during the previously announced Latin American visit.
"The trip will provide an opportunity to engage key bilateral partners, to highlight the president's engagement with the hemisphere, and to advance our efforts to work as equal partners to address the basic challenges facing the people of the Americas," the White House said.
Obama's tour is scheduled to include events in Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago and San Salvador.
