Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif arrived in China on Saturday, he is on a two-day visit during which he is expected to discuss security and defence cooperation issues between the two countries with China's political and military leadership.
General Sharif met the vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission, General Fan Changlong. The latter, according to an ISPR release highlighted the solid strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan, and called the two countries most important neighbours and iron brothers.
According to the ISPR, General Fan also praised the Pakistan Army's 'Operation Zarb-i-Azb' and termed it as a decisive, indiscriminate, bold and hard blow for terrorists.
This is General Sharif's second visit to China since he assumed charge of the Pakistan Army in 2013.
