Peshawar airport attackers identified, says Pakistan minister

A provincial Information Minister of Pakistan has said that the identities of the terrorists involved in the attack on the Peshawar airport and the gunfight that ensued the following day, have been identified.

A provincial Information Minister of Pakistan has said that the identities of the terrorists involved in the attack on the Peshawar airport and the gunfight that ensued the following day, have been identified.

The News quoted minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, as saying that blood samples of the terrorists have been sent for DNA tests and the reports are expected soon.

He further added that from the five terrorists involved in the attack on the airport, two were Chechen and three were Pakistani, while those killed in the gunfight the following day in Pawaka village, included one Pakistani, one from Kyrgyzstan, one from Dagestan, one Uzbek and one Chechen.

Iftikhar said those who attacked the airport were trained people and it seems that militancy was dying down as trained people are usually used as a last option.
