Prince Harry has been named Elvis by US Marines in Afghanistan because of his infamous party antics in Las Vegas.

The elite soldiers gave the 28-year-old royal the monicker as they joked with him at Camp Bastion in the war-torn country.

They have been impressed that Harry, who is serving as an Apache helicopter pilot, is not a “sit-at-home soldier”.

“Harry has become a real celebrity around the camp. At first the Marines thought he would be a sit-at-home soldier, but were shocked when he just kept on notching up the missions. He has been on some hair-raising runs, but refuses to be treated any differently from the rest of the lads,” the Daily Star quoted a US military source as saying.

“A lot of the boys are trying to get Harry to go on another trip to Vegas when their service is done,” the source said.
