The underground appeared to be more reliable for Queen Elizabeth II than her Bentley after it broke down in the middle of her London royal tour.
The Royal's official car failed to start after she left Aldgate station, forcing her to hitch a ride with a police officer.
"It was all a bit awkward. The Queen looked a bit stunned that the car wasn't working. She got out and an aide told her she was going to have use a police Range Rover. She just hopped in the back and continued on her journey," The Telegraph quoted an onlooker as saying.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "There was a problem with the Queen's Bentley during her tour - we don't know exactly what. The Queen got into a police Range Rover which was trailing her vehicle."
