Solo round-the-world Australian sailor reveals love interest

Australian sailor Jessica Watson has confessed she is in a relationship with British sailor Mike Perham.

The couple apparently grew close over satellite phone during Watson's seven-month round-the-world voyage.

On being asked if they were dating, Watson replied, "Yes, we are. It's not quite as dramatic as everyone's saying, but it's lovely; it's very cute."

Now, the pair is set to sail the 17-year-old beauty's yacht, Ella's Pink Lady, to the Sunshine Coast together in the next few weeks.

Also, Watson expressed desire to compete in the Sydney to Hobart race, once she turns 18.

"There's no big expedition to the moon planned; I'm not into space travel," News.com.au quoted her as saying.

She added, "But now the next big adventure and personal challenge for me is finishing the book and documentary, travelling and seeing a few places by land and getting my driver's licence; we'll see after that."
