Bangladesh police today resumed questioning of three suspected Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives as they were remanded in custody again under a court order, officials said.
"They are being quizzed as the metropolitan magistrate court granted us another four days for their interrogation" on expiry of an earlier two day remand after their last week's arrest from outskirts of Dhaka, a police spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the Prothom Alo newspaper quoting an official of police's detective branch, which was tasked for the investigations, said the three Pakistani nationals were likely to be escorted to different hideouts of LeT to track down the other suspected operatives of the Pakistani outfit.
The three Pakistanis, all qualified engineers, were arrested under a manhunt as LeT reportedly chalked up a plot to attack the Indian High Commission and US embassy in Dhaka.
The three were earlier brought before the media for a brief photo session as newsmen crowded the DB office in the afternoon but the journalists were not allowed to speak to them.
Officials said law enforcement agencies in recent months arrested several LeT operatives who were Bangladeshis or Indians but this was the first time three suspected Pakistani nationals belonging to the outfit were arrested in the country.
