Dispelling concerns over safety of nuclear power plants, a British minister today said that her country was ready to exchange best practices on the subject with India.
"The UK has one of the world's safest regulatory regimes in the world. It is recognised for its strictness. We are ready to work with India on this. We see this as an opportunity for best practises exchange," UK's Minister of the Department of Energy and Climate Change Baroness Sandip Verma told a CII function here.
She also reminded India that there was technology available for cleaner coal.
Asking what stopped schools and hospitals from having solar panellings, she said that producing energy from waste management collection system could bring clean energy to homes.
